Life in the Fast Lane
You know those days on the freeway when everyone seems like they are just driving too slow? No matter which lane you select inevitably you get behind the slowest driver on the freeway. The stress of knowing that the person in front of you doesn’t have anywhere to go in any reasonable amount of time kills you. It makes your blood boil, right?
Now step out of your own vehicle for a minute and put yourself in that driver’s shoes. They probably left early to allow for enough time to get to their destination. They are perfectly calm and not anxious at all. Most likely they have some great music playing on the radio and they are singing along.
What you cannot see when you are behind them, tailgating and getting all worked up is that the driver in front of you has no worries. They are care free. They might even be smiling. Content. It’s a beautiful day and they are enjoying every minute of it rather than racing past it.
So the next time you have to be somewhere, allow a little extra time. Select a good album to listen to on the way. And most of all, enjoy the ride.
