2¢/mile?! Now that's how you enjoy the ride! →
The range may be limiting (60 - 100 miles), but the idea behind the TRIAC electric car is what counts.  The more we demand and purchase cars like this the sooner Detroit and the government will have to listen to our voices.  Let’s get smart about transportation, the environment, oil (both foreign & domestic) dependency and start thinking about the future.

Convert your Hybrid to Plug in →
Talk about your plug-n-play. The push is on for better fuel efficiency, which ultimately equates to more enjoyment from your driving experience. (Because you aren’t taking a 2nd out on your home mortgage to finance the fuel for your car.) With modification services like this it just becomes that much easier to enjoy the ride.

40 Things to do in 2008
I received this circulation in an email, but it bears repeating.  I especially like tip #40 as it is right in line with Cruise Control’s way of thinking. 1. Take a 10-30 minute walk every day. And while you walk, smile. It is the ultimate anti-depressant. 2. Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day . Buy a lock if you have to. 3. Record your late night shows and get more sleep . 4....

The Air Car →
“Sometimes, all I need is the air that I breath…” A car that runs on air? We can get behind that. With the low CO2 emissions there is plenty of reason to enjoy the ride. Kudos to Revise & Consent for the head’s up.

DRIVING REIGN
The advance of computer technology has provided many of us with the possibility of tele-commuting from home.  This does wonders for our psyche, our atmosphere, our gasoline bills and our patience.  But occasionally we are still required to face our clients in person, which leaves us far less prepared for the changing road conditions.     As the weather continues to prove its unpredictability,...

DRIVE
According to Merriam-Webster, drive in the noun form is “a trip in a carriage or automobile.”   In today’s world we spend a lot of time driving, but mostly we are on cruise control.  That trip to the market is the same one you take every week.  We drop our kids off at school in the morning and pick them up in the afternoon.  Soccer practice, baseball, basketball, gymnastics...

Why 2K8?
Because change is afoot, so you better get on board or miss the ride.  Green is the new black.  Corporations are embracing the prosperity of social responsibility.  It is possible to be profitable and responsible at the same time.   So what are you doing to contribute to the revolution?  How about arranging to carpool more often?  What about walking to the store the next time you need to run an...

Life in the Fast Lane
You know those days on the freeway when everyone seems like they are just driving too slow? No matter which lane you select inevitably you get behind the slowest driver on the freeway. The stress of knowing that the person in front of you doesn’t have anywhere to go in any reasonable amount of time kills you. It makes your blood boil, right? Now step out of your own vehicle for a...

Back to School
“It’s the most wonderful time of the year…” Yes, time for the kids to return to school and get out of your hair for a good 6 hours. No more complaints of being bored. No more, “I’m hungry.” It’s back to “Do your homework.” And, “hurry up or you’ll be late for school!” Just remember, there will be more traffic on...

The Family Roadtrip
Remember when you were a kid when the family would take the annual summer roadtrip? My parents owned a Ford LTD stationwagon that was mint green with faux wood panelling. Two parents, four kids and luggage for 2 weeks was loaded into and on top of the car. One of us usually had to ride in the “way back” stretched out on top of the duffle bags. That was the primo spot because you...

Fresh Vinyl
The joy of random cruising has taken me to many places. The sights and sounds along the way have been an experience to remember. In fact, I’m thinking of writing a song about my travels. And, thanks to the fun fellas at says-it.com I have pressed my first virtual vinyl. I know it’s only the label for the 45, but it is important to see what the single will look like. Once I write...

Memorial Day - A time of somber reflection for those who gave so much that we may have our freedom. In memory of those who have served and sacrificed old glory flies proudly outside my front door. And when I am traveling on this day, I carry the sentiment of my national pride and the symbol of our freedom on my car with red, white & blue star magnets. I do this because I am proud of my...

The Honkback
The car horn was designed as a warning system and has been regulated, by law, to be used as such. Yes, despite the friendly intentions of a horn tap in front of your friend’s house, technically that is a violation. Nonetheless, we have come to utilize the horn as a form of greeting (such as in the case of arriving at a friend’s house). Often it is used as an attention getter, say...
